The FIRST GREENHOUSE GAS NATIONAL INVENTORY of TURKEY SUBMITTED to UNFCCC!

Ratifying the Framework Convention, Turkey submitted the first official GHG National Inventory by 15 April 2005 as Turkey is obliged to submit the GHG Emission Inventories to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change(UNFCCC) like each member country annually every mid April.

Submitted by the member countries to the UNFCCC every year by 15 April, the first National GHG Inventory of Turkey sent to the Secretariat in a most ever comprehensive and official way since the ratification of UNFCCC. Completed and accomplished by the suprervision of Turkish Statistics Institution, facilitated and coordinatod by the GEF Project Management and MoEF, the Ist National GHG Inventory sent to the UNFCCC secratariat by Mid April, 2006.The first official submission comprehends the uncertainty analyses aswell.The revised version of the inventory will be presented to the secretariat together with the First National Communication Report of Turkey by August 2006.
